| Deb Shebish
Deb Shebish String Quartet Audio Clips
Sring Quartets, Solo Violin, String Trios,
Duos..... Multi-talented violinist Deb Shebish
began her musical career as a classical violinist; receiving a
Bachelors of Music in Violin Performance from Indiana State
University. She broadened her musical horizons by learning different
styles such as Celtic, old-time and jazz fiddle. In 2006, she
received a masters degree in Scottish Ethnology from the University
of Edinburgh, Scotland, focusing her thesis on how traditional
fiddle is taught in the Orkney Isles, Scotland.
Deb's string quartet sets the mood for a sophisticated and elegant
event. The full sound of 2 violins, viola and cello creates a
beautiful and ambient atmosphere. Perfect for ceremonies, cocktail
hours, and background music for dinners and parties. Looking for a
smaller group? Deb also offers trios, duos, and soloists.
Over the past 15 years, Deb has performed in many capacities: in orchestral settings, touring nationwide as part of several musical shows, as a performer/researcher in Scotland, and of course, providing music for weddings, receptions, and other special occasions. In addition to performing, she also teaches strings for the Visual and Performing Arts Magnet programs within Indianapolis Public Schools and is a private violin instructor with the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, an affiliate of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
